Akvaplan-niva has developed the hydrodynamic tool FVCOM for simulating currents and water circulation in coastal areas.

With this tool we model the spread of particles like delousing agents in aquaculture, salmon lice, algea, virus and bacteria.

When modelling the spread of chemicals we also simulate processes of chemical degradation and oxygen use in water masses.
