We study how these changes affect different species and their interactions in the ecosystem, including how ongoing changes impact productivity, establishment of non-native species and their impacts, food-web structure, and harvestable resources. We also investigate how ecosystems can be managed to maximize their climate-change mitigation potential. As climate change can have far-reaching consequences and can interact with other changes in the ecosystem, this dimension is integrated into many of our projects on ecosystem effects from human activities.
