Our researchers carry out both basic research and applied studies on different biological issues within the aquaculture field.

Resaerch focuses on new aquaculture concepts and technologies (e.g. post-smolt in RAS), how production regimes determine performance and growth, fish health/welfare, and development of new species for aquaculture.

Some of our research is connected to our own or partner R&D concessions.

We also focus on effects of organic material and medications released from rearing facilities on water quality and seafloor habitats.
