Our aquaculture researchers carry out both basic and applied research on different biological aspects within aquaculture.

The research focuses on new aquaculture concepts and technologies (e.g. post-smolt in RAS), the effects from different production regimes on performance and growth, fish health and fish welfare, and on the development of new aquaculture species.

Some of our research is connected to our own or partner R&D aquaculture concessions.

We also study the effects from organic material and delousing treatments on water quality and seafloor habitats.
